ARTIST OF THE WEEK CONTEST: FINAL ROUND
This is it. This is what you’ve all been waiting for. After 3 weeks of battling, both lyrical and verbally, we’ve narrowed it down to the final 2 competitors. This is for all the marbles. The winner will be crowned the Hip Hop Official Artist of the Week, and will receive their very own artist profile, featured on HHO. The segment will also be featured on the front page of Myspace Hip Hop and promoted on their site. And Ill Roots is going to sponsor the winner’s next mixtape/project and have it featured on their site, which happens to be one the biggest rap blogs on the planet.

Nuff respect to both artists in this round, good show fellas. I think it’s worth pointing out that Richie Cunning does all his own production. Every song he’s put up in this contest, he made the beat himself. How many rappers can make that claim? RC is the total package. You got my vote. Jahpan’s music is good but he sounds like your average everyday emcee, but other than that the song is nice, the beat is even nicer once you get into it..
Richie Cunning has a good smooth sound and I really think he has more clarity, the beat sounds professional. I dont see why he’s not in the lead.
Cheating is not a humble way to win for either artist. There should really be a better way to find out who the better artist is.
I’d vote for Richie but in the end will it really matter? Cheating took all the fun out of voting, my “real” vote won’t mean anything.
